If i can't spell the word, i won't use it.

I have always been very good at spelling, and I have always had a very expansive vocabulary. I can't stand when people make little spelling errors, although I understand it. I will go out of my way to avoid spelling a word wrong if I'm not positive I have the correct spelling. If it is the only possible word I can use, I will google it to find the proper spelling.

Google-ing words, or rather, the spelling of places is always useful. I have more trouble pronouncing word than spelling them.
Bono as in Beau-know or Bon-know?
Pint as in "the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa-Maria" or Pie-nt?

I do that too. I was always a great speller, but my brain isn't what it used to be. I used to look in the dictionary all the time ( before google). Not just to check spelling, but to find new words to use

I do that too...but it really grinds my gears if that's the word I really felt would be best and I'm just too lazy to look it up...

I do this sometimes too. Look at it this way, by finding other words to use, you will expand your vocabulary. :)
