i was asked out by this guy and we had a great time, but when he dropped me off and asked me if i'd like another date. i turned him down, instead of walking off, he kind of stood there staring at me! i didnt feel bad for him because thats a big tuurn off for me when a guy sits there staring at me! i told him to go home! and when he calls i tell him im busy! i hope that wasnt too jerk-ish

    I would think I would die of rejection, but it went like this: So, are you busy this weekend? Him: I don't remember what he said, but he was trying saying he wasn't interested without saying it. Me: oh, ok. And I moved on a second after that. Weird thing is, I still can't ask guys out even though I am totally resilient.

    Why are you guys hating? If she doesn't want another date with the guy then so be it... what, you cant go out with someone, have good time and find out you don't like them that way? If i went out with a girl and found out during the date that she had a personality similar to my sister i guarantee yah, we'd have a great time laughing but i would not ask her out again.. sorry

      no no no, i wasnt trying to hurt anyone honest. im not a cold hearted b-i-t-c-h! plz dnt think tht,i believed tht if i would have kept going with him tht i would eventually start treating him bad. so to save him the life time of drama from me, i turned him down. and like i was tellling tht guy all the way down the page,( well not all the way dow) i dnt think i am ready for a relationship. im not the type of girl who believes tht im too cute and good for the world! im not conceited! and if i were like tht, i think tht i just might be saying insults to you and calling you names instead of reasoning woth you to make you undeerstand tht my intensions are of moral good. i know tht sound like the cheesiest thing in the world to say.

        Well if what you're saying is true I retract my "bitch" statement, but even still, if you are not ready to be in a relationship why go on dates knowing that you will turn them down? You say you're not ready for a relationship, ok, well dont date people then! If you are just looking for a booty call or something like that, then let the guy know so you're both on the same page and he knows its not going anywhere else. Be fair, you're feelings are not the only ones that matter.

    I would be in shock for quite some time if a girl did that to me. That sucks, try letting him down a bit easier next time or explaining what your feeling if you don't see the relationship going anywhere. As it stands I just feel really bad for him.

    I think the reason no one is voting is because all the choices are negative or mean. It sounds like the guy was staring at you in disbelief because he thought things were going well and then you dropped the axe down on him - so he was shocked.

    I had a guy tell me "he didn't want to hang out with me cause he didn't think he'd have much fun." "I told him he's right,cause he too up tight for my friends" Then ignored him for a couple weeks. He asked me to a movie, I laughed brang my 2 friends without asking, he had a great time, now he wont stop blowing up my phone.

    I have a rule, I you feel like a jerk then you are a jerk.

    Why did you expect him to just "walk off", it's like "oh okay then, let me go and catch my fav show".

    look if you don't like a guy, don't go on a date with him. if you lead someone on, at some point you are going to be the jerk.

    If you did care for him even a little you'd have realised how bad "no" sounds like in that situation, and wouldn't have expected him to take it like it was nothing. Next time deliver the news sincerely. "I enjoyed it and everything BUT, ....," optionally you can throw in "we can still be friends". and make sure you wait for a response.

      ummm.. i understand tht u feel tht i should have been nicer, but if you re-read the story you will see tht i never told you about wat i said, i only told you tht i turned him down. and i didnt do it in a "coldhearted" way, as isee soem ppl are calling me.

      im not a mean person. i didnt say yes because relationship issues tht i had in the past tht might effect the way i think now. for all of you who think tht i am a coldhearted b-i-t-c-h, you are so wrong. i told him "derick, ur a nice guy.....and i guess i had a great time, but this date made me realize tht i am not ready for another realationship." then he asked me "well if your afraid tht i might run away and leave you, then thts not me , im not the type." and i said "no. it's not tht i just have issues." i also told him soemthing, which was the reason he started staring at me. i do not like to prolong stories when i write. i never meant to let anyone believe i was cold hearte! honest!
