If a girl hesitates to confess her virginity status, is she a virgin?

It depends really. She might fear judgement not being a virgin, being called a slut or something. Then again, she might be ashamed if she is a virgin. Especially if the male isn't a virgin, it'll put pressure on her.

I don't understand what's the problem here. There's nothing wrong about being a virgin and nothing wrong about not being a virgin.

If she doesn't want to tell someone about it, I understand but feeling ashamed because of one or the other, it's silly.

If she doesn't want to say, she doesn't want to say. That's all it means.

i hate how for boys its bad to be a virgin and for girls its bad to not be a virgin :S

guess what...for ANYBODY to lose their virginity it requires both a female and a male...so we have to find some kind of middle ground with this issue of being embaressed...

It's hard to discern the intent of others and often times when you try, you're revealing more about yourself than the other person.

Its sad, a woman saying that shes not a virgin, is a lot like a man who admits he is. many don't care, but there are others who criticize them, and seem to look down on them, even if they did something worse.

For that, its shameful for them to admit it, even though it really shouldn't be.

well once I was drinking with friends and they asked me if I had sex and even thought I was a bit tipsy, I lied and said yes cuz I didnt want to feel like the odd one out

i think this depends on the situation. I'm a virgen but i'm 22 so it's kind of embarsing to admit.She probably just felt uncomfortable and didn't want to say.

depends on the girl.. female virgins usually aren't afraid to admit it though, while if the girl is a slut, she most likely would try to hide that

I don't think any female should be ashamed to admit she's still a virgin. So if she's hesitating to answer, than most likely she's NOT. But then again, it is her personal sex life.

Sometimes it can be an awkward question to some people.
