You have to give it some serious thought. If you think haveing a sex change is what will make you feel happy and complete then go for it.

If it's all-consuming and you couldn't be happy as a guy no matter who you were with, then maybe look into a sex change. But there will be big sacrifices, and being a female is a different issue from being an attractive female. There could be scars, complications, or you might not have the right build and chemistry to ever really look like a woman. Take it slow and do your research. Your feeling is not the norm, the majority, but yeah it definitely happens to people. I have thought (though not felt, if you know what I mean) that life might be better as a guy. There are certain conveniences and double standards.

It is estimated that 1 in 30,000 is a transsexual. There is nothing wrong with that. Transsexuals aren't as weird as one perceives due to the media. It is a condition possibly caused by a stress hormone while in the womb.

Find a gender therapist in your area, they can help you figure out what way you want to go. I'm MtF so I know what it is like...

when i was littler i wanted to but then i saw pictures of gender changed people and they looked super ugly nothing like girls... That changed my mind because i would rather be an attractive man than an unactractive manly woman

It's not really normal if you're seriously considering making a change but it's not necessarily wrong. If you're not serious about the idea, then I think it's perfectly normal for somebody to occasionally wish they were the opposite sex for some reason or another.

I'm not entirely opposed to sex changes but they don't seem worth the trouble.

Don't forget that your gender really isn't that important, and that it might not be as effective as you think if you're hoping to attract straight guys - a lot of heterosexual men will be put off if they discover that you used to be a man, especially if they are hoping to have children in the future.

You'll need to determine not only whether or not you'd physically be a girl, but also if you really, honestly believe that it is worth all the effort, money and scrutiny.

Keep in mind that sex changes have their limits and that you will probably never be able to conceive a child with a partner if you choose to have your genitals changed, even if you switch back. You might not want a child now, but that may change in the future.

I would only recommend becoming a transexual if you really do not feel that you could live happily with your current sex, but I don't understand why your gender would bother you that much.

I don't believe in sex changes. Sex change is agasnt nature! I read in a book, called "Manhood" In the second last chapter, about finding your spirit, it says "Be proud to be a man."
So "Be proud to be a man" regardless, of if your gay or not.
