I wear slippers, not shoes. why's that weird?

I'm about 20 y/o, male, and don't like shoes. I wear my slippers instead, everywhere; to uni, to town, all around. Now, I'm not asking if it's normal, but why so many people think it's strange? It's not like I'm wearing sandals or thongs (flip-flops to you Americans), they're ugly.

    You must be like me and really enjoy the feeling of slippers on your feet ! There is nothing wrong with wearing them outdoors and love to see guys in them out and about !Keep it up man !

      hi flffy slipper boy you sound like my sort of guy im andrew and im so crazy about girls slippers i wear them every day and to work so soft and comfy womens slippers are amazing

    Slippers tend to be healthier, and let you enjoy your trips both around your home and around your world. You might not be fully aware of one of slipper's hidden secrets – they are incredibly comfortable to wear and to walk in. So, just have them on, it is normal.

    i wear slippers at home, but not outside. we dont wear shoes in the house, just slippers

    hey i like flip flops anyways no i wear slippers alot too i like anything u can slip on and off easily and if u dont call them flip flops where uare from what do u call thong underwear? Seriously i would like to know

      We call flip flops 'thongs'. We also refer to g-strings as thongs. We tell the difference by the context, and when referring to the underwear, it's normally singular, and when referring to the footwear, it's normally plural.

      Neither. I'm actually in Australia. But the UK is close enough, seeing as we all spell colour the proper way, hehe.

          The brand is Grosby. I'm not sure about the style, but my brother and sister refer to them as 'old man slippers', if that answers your question.
