Has nothing to do with religion or modesty, more laziness. Some days when it's cold and I'm having a bad hair day I wrap a scarf around my head and face. Sometimes I don't do my makeup or hair and it's just easier. I'm against women being forced to cover up, but if it's a choice I think it looks kind of cool. Wonder if I look strange, a white American with a scarf over her head!

    I should probably add that when its cold and windy that really irritates my skin, I think I have rosacea so I try to keep the wind off my face.

    Each to their own i suppose but most deffo not normal for a non muslim white american to do this as it will give people the wrong impression about you. If girl's in my neighbourhood did such a thing we would without a doubt be attacked

    I wear a bandana on my head (when I don't wanna gel), or over my handlebar mustache (when its being a rebel) and Im not a pirate or a cowboy. So thats at least one person like you. To each his/her own.
