I watch gore videos and get addicted for some time

So like one year ago I saw my fist execution video in which a guy got executed, it felt extremely weird and unsatisfying. After that video I saw a thumbnail of a warzone video where a head of a a guy literally exploded. I was just shocked seeing this. But in someways I just keep watching them, one more gruesome than the one before until I got to the point that I nearly had to vomit. Some of those pictures are still stuck in my head and I wish I've never watched them. In some ways I keep getting back to those videos even though I know I'm gonna regret watching those beforehand I still do it.
Does anyone experienced the same?? And is this normal?? (sorry for my english)

    Just stop watching this stuff. If you really can't stop even though you want to, you're addicted and you need to get some professional help.

    I don't think this is strange... People used to attend public executions years ago (still do in some countries). There's a difference between just watching them and wanting to do them...
