    If it's otherwise a good relationship, I don't think it's a reason to split up. But the fact that you're so annoyed by him not wanting to do this could be an indicator that you both want different thing out of it, and should maybe consider calling it a day. Before you do though, talk to him about it, and tell him how strongly you feel to see if it will change his mind.
