I want to send a love letter to my friend, is that normal?

I have this girl I liked for a couple years. we are friends, and I don't know how to break this pesky friendzone. so I wrote a love letter, a digital letter(...) and I want to send it to her.
we live in different countries, and she was here just a few days ago, but I wasn't able to confess. I was scared, but mostly there was very little time for us to be together alone, and I wasn't able to "naturally" take the conversation there.

I'd like to know your opinion, before the letter is actually sent.

    I don't see why anyone would want a cross country relationship but whatever.

    Its worth a shot. Its probably for the best you befriend someone before you decide to date them any way

    It depends.. how did it go when you guys were together? did you hookup? did she give any signs that she likes you more than a friend? if not then I wouldn't send the letter, but instead just tell her you have feelings for her because the letter will scare her off if she doesnt feel anything for you
