Im in a relationship for 5 years but i dont feel complete and me and my boyfriend definitely have differences that are not acceptable, Is it wrong if i go on a date with someone else? Id like to meet other guys since i already definitely want to break up with this one
Break up first then go on dates. Otherwise, you're just dragging him along and wasting his time.
By staying, even though you don't want to, and you have realised that your not right together, then it's best to break up sooner rather than later. You've been together for 5 years, and there's things that are simple unacceptable between the two of you, it looks like your not suited to each other. In saying that, well done co-existing for 5 years though. It's time to move on and be happy! Find the one that treats you the way you want and need to be treated. It's easier said than done, but the hurt will pass, staying together will eat you up inside.
So true.. my problem is that his mother died three weeks ago and i cant leave him now
it's never going to be easy.. Death of someone close, especially a parent is always the hardest time to deal with anything. I agree, you need to let the grieving period pass and then you have to make a decision.. I was in a similar situation (minus the parent passing), that there was alays some reason it wasn't right to do it at that time. Both of you will hurt, one more than the other more likely, but in time you'll both look back and realise that being together was not the right feeling. Hurt will pass.. Mind you, I'm in a crap situation too.. so I can relate that its easy for someone to say you need to leave, but it's always much harder to do in person.
If you stay but want to break up, that's not fair on the person you are with.
