I recently found an old box of letters that my mom saved for me. My friends were scattered across the country and this was before computers so we wrote each other letters. Some of them are quite colorful and creative. One of them thanked me for the dragon. I guess I mailed a friend a dragon at some point. I haven't written a letter by hand and mailed it in years. So I was thinking it might be fun to write a letter to a far away friend. Is it normal?

    I remember when getting a letter was a daily thing, and emails were exciting. Completely switched huh? The only people that write me now want money lolz.

    Aww I Used to mail a lot of letters as a kid too and still have all the replies... Kind of sad how its more of a novelty now. Anyway, I know there is a website were you can choose a country and find a penpal from there. Can't remember it's name but there are probably a few you can find if you wanted

    Writing letters is soo much fun!!! You can make them as long as you want n decorate the envelope n spray perfume n then you mail it with a cute sticker n wait for the persons reply((:

    TOTALLY normal!!! People don't send letters anymore, and that's a damn shame. I miss having a penpal, myself.

    That's completely normal. I love sending mail : D I guess you could argue it's 'greener' not to, but with so few people sending personal letters, it doesn't really make a difference. Long live paper mail.

    That sound fun. Letters are more intimate than emails so it becomes more deep, perfect. It brings back memories and gives a smile to people. Carry on.

    Letters are a very nice surprise (except my bills and bank statements). Letters take time and effort, and it is a nice thought that someone did that for you.

    Why wouldn't it be normal. Internet pretty much has changed the whole world and everyone has adapted to doing everything electronically now days. There's probably a lot of elderly people who still mail the original way the way they used to back in the good old days. It isn't abnormal. It just isn't as common as it used to be.
