I always have been attracted to taller women because I am a short guy myself, 5 foot 7 inches. I know it's immature for this to bother me but I'll be honest I am jealous of those 6 foot guys who can stand next to average girls and the girls will only come up to his shoulder or chin (even in heels). For me, when an average height girl (5'4") is in heels she's the same height as me and I feel pretty bad around girls 5'5" to 5'6" and over. I feel like I don't have that same sense of masculinity that a taller guy would have. Also because girls always want to date a guy taller than them, that means I have very slim chances of ever dating a tall girl. Even short girls want a guy who's 6 feet tall so they can feel "protected" and all that. Basically I just wanna cut the crap and sleep with a tall chick (and just to rub it in their faces I was thinking about Lauren Jackson, Australian basketball player, 32 years old, 6 foot 5 inches tall, 190 pounds, and drop dead gorgeous)

    I'm only 5'8", but I wouldn't mind dating a girl that's 2 inches taller than me. I like shorter/equal height girls, but that's my preference.

    I'm a very short guy myself. only 5'6". But i'll say this. Your masculinity doesn't come from how you look. It's about who you really are. I've seen my fair share of 6'0" BOYS. not men. They couldn't assert themselves or protect anything because they lacked the attitude and drive. They were complete bitches. Your chances of getting a girl of any kind are just as good as some tall guy. Just be a man about it.
