Whenever I see people who smoke I want freak out and beat them to a pulp. But I don't ever get up the courage to is it normal?
Not normal.
It's rather immature to beat people up just because you dislike their personal choices. And very smart for you to chicken out because.... they might be the one who wins that fight.
Just beating on smokers in general because they smoke, no. But if I ever catch the douchebag who likes to randomly throw their cigarette butts over the 6+ foot wall into my garden in back of MY friggin condo, I'm gonna get him/her.
And if he/she sets my house on fire I'm gonna sue the person's ass off.
Personally...I like beating up self rightous, egotistical busy-bodies who look down their noses at other people's bad choices because they need someone to belittle and make themselves feel big.<BR>Let he who lives without sin cast the first stone.
I'm not sure how its making him feel big if he doesn't even work up the courage to do it!
I'm not a smoker, but I'd like to beat the shit out of allot of non-smokers. Such whiners!

If you don't like people smoking, don't go near them or look at them. If they have come to your private area and start smoking, ask them to leave or put it out.
No, it's not normal to want to take out your frustrations at [insert close person who died from lung cancer] or to project your [insert source of self-hatred resulting from doing something you know is bad] on random strangers.
Most people learn to deal with these issues without using other people.
Also that word you're looking for - it is NOT "courage". Replace it with "flagrant stupidity" and be grateful you never have.
I dont know about beating them to pulp, but it would be gratifying to find them 20-30 yrs from now in a cancer ward and say
"Told you so"

No. It's their business, their bodies. They can do whatever they want with them.
Only when they delibrately smoke near you or blow smoke in your face or something. I don't like smokers and never will, but don't get hostile toward them just because of that.
