I want to be accepted the way i am

People should accept me the way I am, when I'm normal in public places strangers who demand normal are accepting me the way I am, the problem with this website is that it's specifically about being normal, yet the people on the website are demanding individualist bullshit! Either they demand it or they insist on it. Bullshit! I should be accepted the way I am, my brother David is taking me way too seriously, Mum is finding me contemptible, why can't people just accept me as a normal person? I'm normal, and I think I imagine that to be great, there's a word for it, it's called being human!

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don't think there's a single person who uses this website that can be considered "normal."

I don't think anyone is obligated to accept anyone the way he, or she is, but conversely no one is obligated to change themselves to fit the tastes of others either. We're all just a bunch of misfits in our own way.

    Is this Hans?

Cos you're very far from any definition of the word "normal" and I don't blame your poor long suffering mum for calling you contemptible.

She didn't call me contemptible, she just resisted my normality, acted as if it was something to despise. It's all the same, I know what normal is: following a norm, rule or principle; not odd or unusual, that's me, I know I'm normal and nobody believes me. Normal people aren't unique, aren't individuals, but it turns out the answer's staring me in the face, just to follow that philosophy of convention, not be religious, and do folk culture, everyone else around Adelaide and Australia is doing it, religious people are separate from normal people. Just tell me the truth! I'm a normal person, and lots of people are like me.

            Irrelevant and incorrect.

It's not incorrect, reality is only based on my observations, mainly what I see, hear, touch, feel, taste and smell, there are lots of people like me. I have a science of being normal, I studied being normal, therefore I'm normal.

There's an acceptable way to be weird, and an unacceptable way to be weird. If you try too hard to be weird, people will know, and they will not like you. If you're creepy or make the hairs on the back of people's neck stand up, you should isolate yourself from society.

Probably true, and even deliberate attempts at individuality people won't like you. They will "know" how different you are even if you attempt at being normal, and smoking tends to make me cough (it goes wheeze haw), how weird is that!

Don't we all, but damn society is a bitch starting with our own families.

Do you have to start about how bad your reality is? What about that your mother loves you? That's a reality too, it doesn't have to be scary.

        Yes, yes, and true.

Yeah it’s normal to be upset about that. The most normie people say they hate fake people and to be yourself, then complain or cringe when you are too “weird” or honest for them. As long as you are being you without hurting other people, you’re okay.

Wow, reality's scary, it's like watching those monsters in horror movies.

As long as you behave reasonably you will be accepted the way you are by many. Of course, many others are not even interested in you and will ignore you.
