I want to be a mermaid

i want to be a mermaid too. soooooooo much i love the water i can just imagine being under water swimming around so gracefully with my long tail. what a life. im hoping that when i die i go to heaven and do whatever i want il be a mermaid always underwater i will love it

Uhmm, I wouldn't consider the specific fantasy "normal", but everyone has fantasies. Sounds like you watched "The Little Mermaid" a lot as a kid. Obsessions do tend to develop in early years.

As a side-note, if you want to find a way to somehow "fulfill" the fantasy, I'd suggest scuba-diving. I did that a few years ago, and while I don't wish I were a sea creature, it is still an absolutely AMAZING feeling to be able to breathe normally while deep underwater. Probably the best I'd ever felt, and it's the closest you can get to actually feeling like a mermaid. With an imagination as great as yours seems to be, it shouldn't be difficult to picture. Just make sure you have a certified instructor. (Uh, in case you're underage, I'll go ahead and say "Ask your parents' permission." >.>)

I remember watching a bit of it, the idea is these girls discover they're mermaids, and it's kind of like a teen drama. Where they are dealing with friendships and boys. It's not shallow like most teen dramas though, it really is about how all the relationships change once the girls realize they're mermaids. Also I found the mermaid costumes the girls wore during the show to be very professional, so it looks rather realistic. They also have computer animation of them swimming I think so it looks like they're actually mermaids. I think you'd really love the show.

I did too ever since I was a kid I'd rent the books from the childrens section at the library with illustrations and stories about mermaids and I'd dream about being one. I even bought a monofin and swimsuit material so I could sew myself a mermaid tail but I havent gotten around to it and I think the fantasy has wore off for me.

you could also try freediving but get trained so you don't die

It is great that you have such pleasant dreams. Enjoy them! If you start thinking they are real it is a bit abnormal. I don't recommend trying a scallop shell bikini either, they chafe!

When I am on holiday I always go into the sea and underwater and pretend i am a mermaid but i cant hold my breath so long lol!
But i love the fact that everything is in water and floats its beautful underwater mannn I wanna be a mermaid so much too!
