I want to always be drunk

I’m a very shy and awkward person and I feel self conscious of everything I do. The only time I can be free and be myself is when I’ve had a bit to drink. I never get extremely drunk or embarrass myself in public but everyone has noticed how I’m funnier, more likeable and more outgoing when I’ve had a few drinks.

I’ll usually just have one or two drinks before going out and it totally changes my mood and my day. I’m not an alcoholic and I could live a normal life without drinking but I would be miserable, antisocial and would likely not have made all the friends I have. If I didn’t drink, I would have missed so many opportunities and would be sitting at home watching life pass me by.

you want to escape from reality.
it doesn't work like that...you have to change it (reality).
    you need a durable solution

You may say it now, but that's one of the starting points to alcoholism

stop trying to not be weird, to crawl inside yourself and control your body language. Be weird on PURPOSE. Think about being outwards. Are you tired? Give a big fat yawn. Do you feel nervous walking around? Walk weird on purpose. Assert dominance by being awkward and unashamed. There is no winning. Someone is going to think you are weird. But so what? You are still important. Make sure you love yourself truly, and do fulfilling things. Even if you are awkward, there's no controlling when the shyness will overcome you. Stop trying to look a certain way. Just be outwardly instead of inwardly awkward. You're more likeable when people can see your vulnerabilities, so if you run out of things to say, just admit it. If you're nervous, say it. That's better than trying to hide all feelings. I'm very awkward and used to get the shakes when in public, but i'm trying to be sociable like you. We can do this!
