I want long distance intimate female confidante. is this normal? how?

I'm a pretty normal guy but I find I just can't achieve the level of intimacy I want in a relationship. I often feel it would be healthy to have a long distance email sort of relationship with a female confidante. Even to go so far as 'sexting' or 'camming' Am I weird? Or is the only weirdness here that I am asking if I am weird? Is that wired or am I? It's all too weird. Tell me - is this perverted? To want to lay myself psycholoigcally bare in s safe way?

    Internet or "online" relationships usually get the two people closer than face-to-face. But I like both of them, but I think anyone can agree than in a phone/text conversation you get much more stuff said than when talking in the same room. They are two different parts of a relationship.

    No relationship is more intimate than one where you only correspond apart from each other. No in-person interaction is the height of intimacy.

    I believe that with the availability of it, it would be a perfectly normal way to want to be in a relationship. But you have to be careful because the Internet is not always safe. If you're going to do it, I suggest you make sure that they aren't a catfish. And also remember, actual relationships with tangible people are a lot better than long distance ones.
