I want it all the time & he wants to sleep...

My husband always says that having sex "drains his energy" and that he is "too lazy". I am doing everything to make him want it! I want it EVERY night, and he wants to sleep. I am certain that he isn't having an affair, and he says that he still loves me and wants to have sex but he's just too worn out. I know he works hard, but C'MON! Isn't it supposed to be that the husband wants it more than the wife? If I don't initiate sex, he'll wait more than 2 months!(I've waited for him to initiate it for that long, but then I had to beg for it.) He says that this is normal and tells me stories about his friends having the same problem with their wives, but I'm not sure that it is as common as he thinks. Is it?

its probably because you are a terrible lay. Ask yourself these. Have you packed on 42 pounds since you two met? Do you have to wear 15.8 pounds of makeup to look good? When you take your pants off does it look like you have Don King in a leg lock?
if you answered yes to any of these, well you have your answer. If you answered no, then I'll send you some more so we can get to the bottom of it. Fact is, he doesnt want to have sex with you. Well....at least I'm honest.

  • I don't think two months is normal for a man, but not all men are the same. Does he come home every day right after work? Does he ever go into a different room and shut the door when his cell rings? It is possible that he is just tired, and doesn't care about sex, not all men care about sex like teenage boys with raging hormones do.

Work as hard as he is and you'll find out how selfish you are acting.

Marriage or relationships is not all about sex, if that is the only reason you've been clinging on to your husband then you are nothing but a jerk.

"Isn't the husband supposed to want it more than the wife?"

Seriously, you believe that? It has nothing to do with gender. He's probably not having an affair, he just has a lower sex drive than you. It's totally normal. Either get a vibrator and chill the fuck out or find someone else who can satisfy you.

If you really want it that bad, I suggest masturbation. If you haven't had sex in a while his libido is probably non-existent. So try blowing him a couple nights a week until he wants it again

Oh, and try some kinky stuff. Like, if you can, overpower him and tie him up, or just tie yourself to the bed and wait for him to come home. (Just hope to god he hasn't ordered a pizza ahead of time. o.O

Well, one day I was looknig at one of my older sisters girl mags (First time and last time I ever did it, I was curious what was in them for her to get em so much plus I was like, 11-12). And they say guys like a challenge. I actually agree with this. They say when 2 people get married the guy want want/need it as much anymore cuz he knows he can basically get it whenever he wants. And don't call me a fag, I was curious. >.> Never thought I could use it to help someone though. o.O

sounds like you've been married for quite a while. one idea would be to sneak up on him while he's naked and make him let you give him head while you undress in front of him (do not take your mouth off while undressing though). then, when you feel him getting close, stop and insist that he gives it to you where you want it most. And, while having intercourse, talk about various fantasy situations, i.e. threesomes (both ways) or just watching him do another woman.

don't know if it'll work but it did for a lady friend of mine in a similar situation.

Sorry to hear about your frustration. Many replies have covered the possible problem. To me it seems like overwork and lack of sleep and with a certain amount of familiarity.
Sometimes a complete change, like a holiday or a house move can trigger off new sexual excitement. Are you sure he does not have a secret desire in his sexuality that you have not hit upon? Some men are too shy to tell their wives about this. For example, he may like the idea of having sex with you while you are fully clothed or while you are sitting on his knee or maybe he would like a little chasing around or a rough and tumble. Some people are turned on by enemas or by sniffing smelly knickers. There ideas may seem pretty gross but they can be a secret longing for some men (and women) Could you try showing him a sexy magazine and asking him which pictures he likes best? What about watching sexy programs on TV? Could you try wearing a very short pleated skirt and showing a lot of leg and knicker during the evening when you are both in the lounge? Men are funny creatures when it comes to sex. We all boast about our libido and how easily we are turned on but this is often far from accurate. Men like changing scenery hence the cheating that some of them do on their wives.
You could try these ideas and also maybe tell him that you are going to masturbate in bed beside him at night and you could get a vibrator to do this or rock from side to side on the pillow or do it in any way that pleases you.
I hope the above helps and I wish you every success. In summary, check his health, stop him working too hard, take leisure time together, be amorous towards him, introduce variety, discuss the matter and find his kinks to your advantage.

Well I have the opposite problem. My wife never wants it. But I do believe it is due to the menopause which she is going through right now.

I believe men go through a type of menopause also. Although his age would seem to be a bit early for that. I may be wrong about this but I have been studying how hormones affect your sex life and it might be possible his testosterone levels are low. They can test for that and if they are low hormone therapy might put him right back on track. It might be worth the cost of a doctor visit to check out.

I agree with previous posters. I'm generally too tired after a days work also. I'm 46. I find that I do much better if I can wake up early and have it in the morning before going to work. My wife and I generally get up at 4:00 am on a regular basis anyway and so we have plenty of time. Although we don't generally lay in bed. We actually get up so If I'm going to get it I need to act fast.

I hope you're able to work things out. I can relate to your problem. I'm interested in having my wife have her hormone levels tested. I just haven't talked to her yet about it much. I've been doing the research though and I'm convinced it might be part of her problem.

SugarBaby82 has it right - I LOVE my wife and I LOVE sex with her, but by 9pm, I drop dead tired. Try inviting him home for nooners. I'm serious. I am TRIED after a stressful day at work, I feel down about myself, I feel "done". I would LOVE to have sex with my wife- but before I get so tired I have to sleep! Try getting him earlier in the day!!

I'm the poster...and I am NOT ugly, or fat, or have poor hygeine, or a bad lay!!!! And he is NOT cheating OR gay!!! He says he's lazy, tired, and sick when I push for answers. He's 37 and does heavy lifting at work and LOTS of driving. I am 30 and go to the gym 5 days a week. We've been married for 11 years, since I was 19, and have one 7 year old child. He told me the other day that I am in my prime, but he is just WAY PAST his. I laughed, and told him he was only 37! I keep thinking that maybe he should see a doctor about his lack of energy, not just when it comes to sex, but everything. He is always tired or sick (not the throwing up kind of sick, just the achy icky feeling). What do you think?

Sorry about these guys, they are stupid and bored. Lol.

We really can't tell you any professional answers. The best advice I have is to get some help, he may just be tired or stressed.

I'm sure you know your husband so you know if he's gay or cheating, so that's not an option.

Just ask him, get him a little more excited.
Spice it up, I'm not suggested BJ like them, but anything you're comfortable with. Try out some of his fantasies or something.

That was me 20 years ago. My wife wanted it all the time, I was always tired, so I know this does happen.

No it's not normal, does he also workout? Does he have any health problems?
Get his attention NOW before you do something you (or him) will regret. Maybe counseling would let him know that this is serious.
      Good Luck.

Seriously, he probably is worn out and going through a rut. If he is stressed with work and helps out with chores he has a lot going on inside. Maybe HE doesn't feel attractive, maybe he isn't eating right so all his energy drains easily and also if he doesn't sleep enough. He could be lacking testosterone. He could be getting 'bored'. He may feel there's no chase since he knows you want it and it's there whenever he wants it so it's not as exciting. So many reasons really. He should talk to a professional and be willing to compromise. How long does it take without you mentioning sex for him to initiate?

F*ck his brother (if he has one) and then get a divorce.

@ All the idiots who think this has anything to do with her appearance: LOL Men will cheat regardless of what their wives look like. Jennifer Aniston certainly isn't fat or ugly, nor is Uma Thurman or Elizabeth Hurley... but their men cheated on them anyhow. Men are fickle and they're never satisfied.

    Glad I'm not married, that's for sure. F*ck 'em & dump 'em. : D

How old are you? This isn't all that uncommon with middle age couples especially if he works a job that is very physically demanding. If what you are trying isn't getting him in the mood then try something new. Maybe he could stand to be in better shape physically. Try doing domething together that will get you both in better shape, I'm sure he would appreciate what it could for you unless you've already got a great body.

Assuming you don't have bad breath, are too fat, or aren't good in bed.... then yes, he doesn't seem normal. I have sex with my old lady every night if she'd let me. As it is she's better than any of the others I've had. When we do have sex it rocks!

NO! NOT normal. I am 59, and am ALWAYS horny,,morning, noon, and night. He might be homo,, or, maybe he is turned off by you,,like bored,,,or,,maybe is it not clean enough?? Maybe he is lost in fantasies of another woman. If his balls are full, he is not masterbating much..if they stay empty,,he rather masterbate, of,,do it with some one else, than you. I think maybe you might consider counciling.

Sounds like he doesn't find you sexually attractive any more, are you fat?

Try losing some weight, or dish out a few BJ's that should get him interested again.
