I want a job with minimal interaction with people

I've worked in retail/service for too long! I can't stand the incessant annoyance anymore. I'm just sick of dealing with other humans basically, I want a job where you just work with computers or papers or products and that's it. Seriously I need suggestions what are some jobs like that?

That involves quite a lot of interaction with people. They just happen to be dead.

      • Yes dead people count lol. Though they are slightly preferable to live ones... Anyway I've seen too many zombie flicks

Heh, 100% yes. I think this is the first time I've seen a post that kept 100% past 10 votes.

"I want a job where you just work with computers or papers or products and that's it"

Computers: Data analyst, systems admin, coder, programmer, web editor, digital assistant, assistant graphic designer / animator / art worker.

Papers: Admin, legal secretary, writer, stock controller.

Products: Stock controller, picking / packing.

Other: Night security, milkman, delivery driver (especially long haul).

Just some suggestions. Also consider the size of the company you're working for - that'll often determine how many people you will interact with on a daily basis. A small company usually means fewer staff, fewer clients.

It's virtually impossible to find a job involving no interaction with people, though.

If I could find a software engineering job having no interaction with people, I'd take it. Until then, I'll just live off my investments.

You could be a structural steel detailer. It's pretty technical stuff though. It takes years to get it down.

    • Thanks but I'm a petite girlie girl knows nothing about steel

That's why I said it takes years to get down. It's not just a job, it's a profession. It uses programs such as AutoCAD and SDS2.

It is an office job and I knew nothing about steel before going in.
