I thought i was a milennial

They said if youre born in 1998, it was a milennial for years but now its generation z??? They say anyone under 24 is generation z born 1995-2012. Why did they change my generation? Is it normal??

I think it is strange how a so-called "generation" is becoming a shorter and shorter time period.

It is basically marketing bullshit and also it makes certain age groups the scapegoat of all the world's problems.

Funny how the youngest generation always gets blamed for the way things are even though they haven't been here long enough to make a huge difference.

I was born in 1989. And as someone who grew up watching Dragon Ball Z I feel it only makes sense for my generation to be called Z

They always change the damn generations around. But good riddance in that case because it looks like the projections of gen Z are looking to be great. Gen Z is already more conservative in our youth than the baby boomers. And we are looked at as the saviors of America rather than millennial crybabies.

Millennial is a disparaging term anyway... find a different label. You could be the lgbt generation.

Lgbt generation??? That's a lot worse...
It's insulting to everyone who is straight.
Not everyone in the 90s was gay, or trans. Gay culture isn't exclusive to the 90s.

I certainly don't want my generation to be called "the lgbt generation"

I always heard 1996. Though it doesn't really matter, people will still call you a millennial if you're under 30, and they won't if you're over.

I don't like this new term millenial. The way I always understood it, anyone born in the 80's are Generation X, and anyone born in the 90's are Generation Y. Presumably then anyone born in the 00's should be Generation Z.

Lol no. 20 something's aren't generation x. That's for people who are teens or early 20s in the 80s. Not people born then.
