They don't deserve their oil reserves. We should re-colonize their countries and only leave when we've consumed every single drop of oil they have.

    I understand where you're coming from, but I'd rather see an entirely new fuel emerge as a replacement for fossil fuels. Also I can't endorse stealing, not even from people with whose culture and religion I have many disagreements.

      It's already been done in the 90s... Hydrogen.

      Mercedes and BMW both experimented with hydrogen and proved it can be an efficient replacement to fossil fuels and keep the internal combustion engine alive (very important)

      If not that... There are hydrogen fuel cells. Again better than the battery powered nonsense we have today. But everything is politics... It's the age of the battery now. Get yourself a fancy Tesla that will need a new 40000$ battery pack in 3 years and don't worry about hydrogen!
      It'll come in another 20 years.

    At this point, it is cheaper to just buy it from them. We did a good job saving our own oil over the last 50 years.

      don't we assuming your American too have barrels that just sit in storage just for that reason my father told me at least that the government is saving it for reasons.

      I'm not sure if I'm wording that right.

        No. We knew we had it in the ground, and never drilled for it. We used Saudi oil for 50 years instead. It was a prudent way to play end-game. North America will be the last continent to run out of oil.

    But, then what?
    Only a fool invests everything in one single finite resource.
    Any plan for what to do after you've used all that oil?
    That said, try invading the middle east.
    I don't mean Iraq.
    I mean the whole area, wherever the oil fields are.
