I think the female sexual organs should be on the outside like males. The vagina would then be like a big fleshy sack hanging outside with the uterus as part of this and the vagina hole exposed. When people would have sex the female would hold out this big fleshy pocket and then they would have sex normally, just not INSIDE the female. It would be easier to have children: hey would grow in the sack, and instead of painful childbirth, they just pull him it of the sack. Is this normal

    Technically, female and male sexual organs are remarkably similar. It's understandable considering we're androgynous in the womb, and in fact develop both sets of genitalia simultaneously under our gender is "chosen" after about three or four months. That's why men end up with fully functional nipples - yes, men can lactate, although their ability to do so is mostly suppressed by hormones. A penis is basically an enlarged (hopefully) clitoris. Hell, even men have an underdeveloped uterus in them.

    So if ovaries were placed outside, they'd basically be egg-producing testicles. An external womb sounds creepy as fuck, but I guess it'd be easier. Actually, I don't think that would be easier at all.

        I could be wrong, but I've read that men have the tiny remains of an underdeveloped, non-functioning uterus next to their prostate.

          You're pretty much right. It becomes a uterus in women. In men, it's the thing that doesn't become a uterus.

        Josephine Lowndes Sevely writes about anatomy and gender studies, I think that's where I got most of the information. The nipple tidbit is from a book called "Why Do Men Have Nipples?"

        Most of this information is online as well, you could probably find it on wikipedia.

    Uhh... the female sexual organs are internal because eggs and fetuses must incubate at body temperature. They wouldn't function properly if they were external...

    I think kangaroos are already running with an idea a bit like this although they've gone wacky with it because male kangaroos have multiple penises. :)
