I think that my life is like the computer game the sims

i play the sims for at least 4 hours a day and i am starting to believe that everyone on the earth is a sim and that we are all being controlled by a huge computer. i can't sleep as it worries me so much because i am afriad the burgular will come to my house and the wierd music will start playing.
when i make food in my kitchen i am just waiting for the moment the cooker will set alight.
i have taken to talking to people in the sim language but no one wants to know me and i paranoid about whether there is a green diamond above my head, i walk through low doorways just to get rid of it.
is this normal?

    Just think about the positive parts. You can eventually just get someone to love you by constantly hugging them after you had a shower, or have your baby grow up in a few days. Or maybe the guy controlling the computer that is your life will stop you from ageing with a cheat or just from the options menu. Think, you could set fire of your house and still live after someone brings you ashes to a sciense facility!

    Nnnno. Maybe you should lay off the Sims for a while and get out and live your own life ;)

    FOUR HOURS?!?!?!?!?!?!

    That's not healthy man. There's a whole world out there and you're missing out on it. Spend a day in the woods or climbing up a mountain.

    I've had this thought before haha it's pretty far fetched but so is everyother theory about life.

    Lollll very funny! However the sims has taught me a real life lesson; you know those red/green bars for appetite, hygiene, social, sleep.... You can fill one up but it won't make you ultimately happy. You need to maintain balance between all of your needs

    @ hotchikie81: "All the world's a stage,
    And all the men and women are merely players;
    They have their exits and their entrances;
    And one man/woman in there time plays many parts"

    Atleast there arnt any std's in sim world.

    Sometimes I feel like my life is one big moving, or that someone else is constantly watching things that go on here on the Earth.

  • Based on the amount of time you play it, i think it's normal. Sometimes after i play Call of Duty, and i go outside and see someone, i think "Oh there's someone, i can totally get a kill." But then i realize i'm not playing the game anymore. Maybe you should stop playing for a while, and if it stops, you could try and play again, but try not to play everyday. maybe a couple times a week.
