I think people should consider their careers way longer. iin?

So many people hate their jobs. I am very concerned about finding a job that I love and that gives me a sense of purpose. Did you spend enough time contemplating your job? Or am I being too nit-picky in a situation where maybe I should just go with the flow and make the best of where I end up, so long as it relates to my chosen field of study?

  • A lot of people don't have the luxury of choosing their careers; they take whatever they can get so that they don't lose their home and they'll have something to eat.

Most of the time peoples interest and career choices will change over the years. I think you should go with the flow of your heart.

I have a career I didn't choose. It fits my skill sets almost exactly. It's pretty much perfect for me. If I'd have got the job I always thought I wanted, I think I'd have hated it.

I did and then I hated my chosen career. Now I'm back in school to try a different one.

I think about my future everyday. It's normal, making decisions is scary and I want to make sure to make the best ones. Wherein the same boat. :)

It depends on the person more than anything. As long as theyre satisfied enough to be happy with what they choose, good for them. But for me personally, I feel I'm called to something higher than whats expected of most, but that doesn't mean it's right for anyone else.

I think you should put a lot of thought into it, but most people I know, got their jobs because of need and opportunity and then turned it into a career. You cannot let some lower jobs pass you by, when you need to eat and pay bills!

Depending what you're looking at I say just start working, see if you like it & go from there. At least you're earning money for now...

Yeah, if a person ends up hating their job then thats their own fault.
