It's important to learn to live in the present. I think you should do a Google search on Mindfulness.
A lot of really unhappy people live in the past, and in the future. If you live with one foot in yesterday, and one foot in tomorrow, you end up pooping all over today.
All my thoughts are in the past.
See, it just happened again.
Right there in the upper right hand corner of my comment it will tell you how long ago I had this one.
Normal, I think you should live every day for the future. You need to build wealth so you can retire. The more money you make now the more you're gonna have when you're older. I work 7 days a week with 2 jobs. It sucks but I want to be rich.
I'm the opposite, I think a lot about the past and find a strange comfort in it, I guess because there's familiarity in it. The future and the unknown make me nervous and I just can't imagine very far into the future.
I also catch myself thinking about how differently things might've been if I would've handled certain situations differently, which really is pretty useless since it's over and there's nothing that can be done to change it. I've had a pretty rocky past and have let it rule me a bit too much.
While it is good to consider your future, just thinking only of that isn't going create good memories.
