I think i have anger issues

Well I am a 17 year old and I think I have anger issues. Why? Well when something bad happens or there's someone whose really annoying near me, I can suddenly feel myself grow hot and my blood pressure raises and I feel like strangling someone. I tend to supress my anger and just try to let it die but deep down inside I'm as angry as can be. There were a couple of times I have cussed people out but then I regret it. Then the times I don't cuss someone out who really deserves it I also regret it. I don't know what to do! I just want to get rid of this rage.

Is it normal for this to happen? If not help me

As soon as I saw the word "strangle," I knew you were a normal person. Wanting to "strangle" people is what the average person claims to want to do, when they're really, really angry. If you had genuine anger problems, you'd be thinking about a lot more than "strangling" people.

I'm kindof the same. Everyones born different. As long as your grinding your teeth and bearing it until you get home I don't see a problem. Just wait for an appropriate time to let loose lol

common. but not normal. I suggest you become vocal about what's irritating you. By vocal I mean firm and to the point, not cussing and insulting (which usually makes you feel like a piece of shit after you realize what a lunatic you seem like).

You should also question why you're feeling angry. A lot of times we get angry for no good reason, and let it get us down.

I'd say put that anger into something effective such as exercise or do what I do. When I get angry, I just go do a shit ton of homework or housework. You have all of that energy, let it out doing something productive. The advice sounds stupid and useless, I know, but I have BEEN THERE, right where you are at and if you do it once, and again, and again... you get angry, go sweep and mop... get angry, go clean out your car, get angry, go do some pushups... It becomes habit and you turn your anger into something productive that you can use.

I'm seriously. Just try it once. And try it again, and before you know it, you'll have the cleanest house on the street, be physically fit and be pulling a good gpa.

Don't use any tablets. You can easily get addicted to pills. Try to speak to your doctor or a psychologist

Ya, I flunked out of anger management class. Listen to angry music. I was in such a bad mood last night, listened to some six feet under. That helps me :) a son of a bitch, 3rd generation, schooled in the art of human strangulation. Only one thing can control my pain, that's to feast on the blood of the insane. See?? Now don't you feel better :)

I'm the same way lol and same age..shit happens..people are annoying and if they need to be cursed out it's their own fault; just try not to say things u will regret to people that really didn't do ne thing; in those situations I find it easier to just walk away

You could try going herbal like Joybird said or you could take up sports. Valerian Root is used for calming but it can make you very sleepy. They're also herbs like St. Johns Wart. Sports wise: marital arts could help you become more balanced and in control of yourself. Some people take up boxing as a way to relieve themselves. Find something that works for you:)

I've been looking for the Amerian equivalent to that, actually.

OP go to a convenience store if you live in the states and find the Red, Green and Yellow colored "Marley's Mellow Mood Tea". It's the same thing. It will calm your down quick. Just don't drink the whole bottle at once.

You could try A Vogel's Stress Relief Daytime oral drops. I assume you should be able to get his stuff easily enough as he's world famous.

Seems like you could learn a lesson from Bruce Banner in the anger department. I think that you should just try to avoid situations where you know you will be angry. If an unexpected situation arises then I suggest just walking away, or if that isn't an option try counting from ten backwards.
