Is it weird that I often fantasy that in the future we won't work? I thought by now 2010 we would have everything free and robots doing all jobs... I often get depressed because I hate to have a boss telling me what to do...
Even if we did have robots to do all our work, there would still be some jobs that robots would never be able to do. An example would be a psychologist/counsellor, a doctor, a lawyer/judge and anything in the creative field like a musician or artist. Of course, if we had robots they could do mundane tasks like factory work or cleaning or something... that would be awesome. I would hire one to clean my house! :)
Problem with this idea is it would have to be enacted all at once, across the globe, otherwise, what might be free here wouldn't be free in afghanistan or something like that and we couldn't afford to buy oil and parts to build those super robots, thus making us a bunch of poverty-stricken whiners sitting around with no money. So yeah.
Don't worry in a year or so everything will most likely be free. Every thing in life is suppose to be free.
its normall thinking about it not beliving it could actrually happen ever.. i mean sure a robot works for you.. but y on earth would anyone give away stuff?? and even if one thinks "oh it would be so cool" when u stop to think about it it's shit because as some people said here it's esential for society to work and otherwise we would end up fat sick and dead by the age of 20...

Well, working is essential to society and society is essential for survival to the species, it's money that makes things complicated. I've though much the same about getting rid of money all together but there needs to be some other system put into its place otherwise things would go nuts.
