I think everyone over-remembers/memorialize 9/11

I think everyone makes too big of a deal over 9/11. I know 3000 people died, I know it got us in a big war, and I know it changed the nation. But "get over it!" I think. It was 11 years ago, people. Lets think about NOW, 2012 (soon 2013), the essemby attack, hurricane Sandy, or our $16,000,000,000,000 in the hole. Move on! Is this normal I think this. PLEASE approve this. I need to know bad.

P.S. Everyone I've told this to goes on a rant about it.

I don't know how much it gets mentioned where you are, but I think it's normal. I kind of wonder why Princess Diana still gets talked about here. It doesn't really bother me or anything like that, it just confuses me.

Mainly most of september, even past the 11th. We have far more things to worry or make a gigantic deal over. Now I do think it should be rememberd, just not as much as it is. IT'S BEEN 11 YEARS PEOPLE!

Yeah, I can see why you wouldn't like it. Although I do think it is important to remember the past. Important to me anyway:).

Princess Diana, that's worse than over-memorilizing 9/11. It was longer ago and was only one person insted of over 3000. I do belive 9/11 should be rememberd, just not as much. Finally, people who don't start shouting about victims and Usama when I voice my view of 9/11

Because you were a child when it happened. You couldn't connect to it. All you saw were a couple of towers being hit by a plane in some place on T.V.

Maybe with time you'll grow to understand.

No you are fucked up. I'm from England and I think it is rightfully regarded and remembered highly. Fuck Muslims they give the rest of us brown skinned brethren a bad reputation.

I totally agree with you. It's not as if it was the worst thing that happened to the planet.

You're right. Just look at stuff going on in Chad and Sudan and Nigeria and other countries like that, where they've had attaks killing way more people.

You're right. I may not be the best person to ask since it happened when I was very young and couldn't properly process the situation. But you're right, it's past us now. Yes, it was a terrible tragedy but we are giving power to our enemies by showing that it still effects us so. There are much more pressing matters that are currently going on: Isreali-Gaza war, ISIS, Boko Haram, Ebola, etc.

Thinking about 9/11 drives me insane. So many innocent people killed... but people are killed all the time. What about the Titanic? Should we still grieve over that too? Personally, I hate watching those videos of people jumping from the towers. Why anyone would ever highjack a plane and do something like that is ridiculous. All we can do is hope for a better tomorrow. Take the bad with the good. Think about it if we didn't have shitty days then we wouldn't have the good days to look forward to, if that makes any sense. I know it's not relevant to 9/11. Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift, that's why it's called the present.

Maybe we don't grieve about the Titanic the way we do 9/11 is because, oh I don't know, one event was a terrorist attack and the other wasn't?

About the Titanic, I'm not sure. It was exacly 100 years ago, in 1912. The extreamists think they'll get some reward for God (or Allah as they call him) for killing us "Infedels". Idiots.

you are right every body takes it as first example to criticize MUSLIMS as terrorists till now.... its the biggest example seen by me of terrorism... why don't they just forget it?
