I take gabapentin and need to show my id to buy it, why?

1I didn't know gabapentin was a narcotic. I never got high from gabapentin,... I take 400mg 3x a day. For arthritis, pain, but it's not working. I might try it 5x a day. my thoughts are 'it's not going to work. I don't think it will ever work, even at 10x, but I would go that far. I think if I take 5x a day, and it works, how will I tell my Dr. (not following prescribed 3x).

    400mg isnt a super high dose. 800mg 3x a day is what they gave me for my back before my surgeries helped my pain. Its controlled because ppl who are addicted to opioids like to take them when they dont have opioid pills. They help with opioid withdrawals a bit and can give you a nice feeling. I take them when I cant sleep sometimes. Its a really weird drug. If you take a little bit you get energy but if you take too much you start getting tired and your legs get heavy.

    Taking a 5x dose instead of 3x is abusing the drug. Doctors can indeed drop patients if they refuse to follow directions. If your medicine isn't working, ask the doctor for alternatives you can try.

    i got carded for buyin washer fluid once cause its got alcohol in it

    i argued that its methanol and deadly to drink but this stupid twat wouldnt budge so i left it there and walked outta the store and bought some at a less retarded place

    I’m a ging. And apparently pain meds don’t work for us. My mom is too and pain meds don’t work for her either.

    If it’s not working though, I’d recommend looking into herbal, more natural, ways to try to help. You’re liver is gonna fail living like that.
