I suck my thumb while picking my nose

46 yo man picks my nose while sucking my thumb. Then I roll the booger around on my upper lip. Always in private except for in front of my wife who is ok with it.
I've been known to do this at work in a bathroom stall and I can't fall asleep without doing this so sleeping in front of people like on a bus has been frightening unless I cover my head. It's not like I hate myself for this. I'm just curious as to why I do other than it feels good.
