I strongly prefer games that let me create my own character. I enjoy to customize them and make them look just right. A good example of this is the Saints Row series. They allow for very in-dept character customization.

Curious to see if the is it normal community agrees :3

    I think it plays to the strengths of games like skyrim as there is no character development in the script and you can make so many different choices in the game that everyone will end up with a different type of protaganist who played the game a different way, but sometimes having a set character can work better for other games, for example Bioshock's story wouldn't have been anywhere near as good if instead of Booker and Elizabeth it had been a created character because then the story would loose all it's impact.

    I love games that give you a lot of customization options. It is usually a big draw to me when I'm not sure about buying a game.

    Sometimes, but for me, it really depends on the kind of game. I think it would be a interesting element to have in games like The Legend of Zelda or Kingdom Hearts. Heck! I even wish they would employ this more in the Pokemon series, it gets tiring having to wear the same clothes and looking like everyone else.
