I stole from cvs

I stole from CVS last Monday and I felt terrible, I mean terrible! I told my friend that I liked and she told other people and eventually on a text they were telling me how they were mad at me for stealing and everything. So I said I was sorry like a million times over. So then I went back and paid them the money for it. Now they aren't as mad as me, but I'm completely mad at myself, I mean come on I stole these stupid spray candy things. Is it normal I still feel awful about what I did even though I corrected what I've done?

i'd never go back and pay. doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of stealing?

  • It's called guilt. I think you should however be proud that you actually went back to the store and paid for the items you stole. Most people wouldn't do that for fear of getting arrested or being embarressed. I do however think you should really consider getting a job so you don't have to feel a need to steal things, because you could ruin your life forever if you do it again and get caught.

I think your friend is a douche and a rat. He/she should mind their own business, but I guess it doesnt matter now that all trust you have put in that person is gone. Stealing isnt a big deal. Culture just makes it seem that way - whats it to a big corporation like CVS if theyre missing some candy. They probably wrote it off like it fell of the truck or something. You just feel guilty because you feel like you
just kicked an innocent, big eyed CVS puppy in the face and got away with it.

It's natural guilt. I use to steal from gas stations when i was 10 and 11. After I had done it and left the store w/o getting caught, I felt the guilt all the time. One day my friends and i stopped doing it. why? Because of the guilt feeling and the positive feeling once we started getting allowances from our parents knowing we can pay for what ever candy we wanted in the station.
