I don't know if you are a sight reader or an improvisor and I don't know if you are blocked lyrically or instrumentally.

For Lyrics: I suggest writing a song that speaks to you...something you can imagine singing 20 years from now. Write a paragraph or a journal of the account and try to create the lyrics from that paragraph. Put a lot of heart-felt thought and detail into your account so it speaks to you lyrically. Lyrically, try to be as heart-felt and detailed in as little words as possible.

Instrumentally (sight reading): write down a progression one or two stanzas deep using simple chords - a melody is bound to be born even if you don't want one. If you know how to do MIDI or tracker-based music, that's def a quick remedy to instrumental writer's block.

Instrumentally (improvising): Whenever you sit down to play - leave the recorder on. Record everything from start to finish and act as if you're not being recorded - it might surprise you what you'll end up with.
