I soak cooked meat in blood and eat it

I soak cooked meat in blood tastes good like taking beef or goats or sheeps blood and soaking the meat for a bit then slightly cook it then do it again and again until the blood is clearly caked in.

Blood has been used in cooking since Roman times. It's normal, just not as common these days.

However trying to get cooked meat to absorb blood probably wouldn't work very well since it's already cooked.

Lots of blood recipes online if you just Google it.

Maybe you should just buy fresher meat.

I'm not much of a cook, what does deglaze mean?

pan sear the meat & use wine or some other water based liquid like chicken stock as a solvent to absorb the drippins and make a sauce

  • My grandmother still cooked the old way like her ancestors in Europe did when I was growing up. I Can remember eating blood pudding in a cow's stomach when I was about 4, and had soft shell turtle soup and other obscure things that people no longer eat. I was only about nine when I realised how gross blood pudding was.

It sounds like you have a thirst for blood. Awooooo

  • I eat the marrow and cartilage off of bones, so I guess blood can be done too. You say you cook it so all's good. People used to eat everything of an animal because they didn't have the luxury of disposable income and supermarkets. Waste not, want not 👍

  • Actually, if done properly, soaking meat in it’s blood could probably add a sort of richness to it, top it off with some gravy and— red wine. Make sure to set the garnish at a 45 degree angle and the side of mashed potatoes must also have gravy.
