I smell my pads from my period?

Whenever I have my period and I am about to change my pad or whatever I feel the need to smell it before putting it in the trash? I also smell My underwear after I take it off . Is this Normal?

    I do it too. At first I thought I liked the smell of a period, but then I realized I never smell my tampons, so I think it's that the pads are scented and smell good. But maybe the blood smells good too, I don't know.

    yes, I did this too. But I only do this when I'm seeing if there's something wrong with the discharge and usually you can know that something is wrong if the scent changes or comes out strongly. I change my pads very frequently if it started to smell badly which is usually a sign of something growing since usually, they never did smell of anything.
