I agree with the previous comment. Its good that you want to be clean... but try and tone it down. I don't think you need to shower at mid-day. I think the showering would be normal if you lived in a VERY hot country, and sweated a lot. So pick one out of those three times.
Washing 3 times a day is actually bad for your skin and hair. Your skin loses its natural oils, making it prone to spots and dry skin. Same goes for your hair.
The hoovering thing... I think thats okay, because many people do that, and everyone should do that, because dirt can build up a lot on our floors in a week or two.
If you are actually doing more cleaning than you really should, you should definately seek some help, as these are signs of severe OCD.
Good luck! x
Definite OCD.. I dated a woman who showered before work, would go home during lunch, shower again, then again at night. Got to be annoying to the point of no return.
I helped her garden one weekend, and, in the time it took me to make a quick food run, she snuck into the shower. Couldn't stand the dirt. When we were supposed to go out only a few hours later..Another shower. I found that notably odd.
This is wonderful!!!! totally awesome...I USED TO TO THE SAME!!! oh yeah I was like that when I didn't have to work and I didn't go to school.... only on summer vacations old day, but now kind of hard to find time!...
sounds kinda OCD to me... I shower every day and my parents think that's too much. and If I started vacuuming my room more than once a month I don't know what my mother would do..
we have water restrictions here so noooo, i do not think it's normal to shower 3 times a day. Oh, but the vacuuming could be a good thing if you look at it in a positive light. I mean, at least things stay clean!
I once knew of a girl friend of mine who bathed 3-4 times a day and vacuumed as well. She also did at least two loads of laundry a day. She was very promiscuous, and was raped when she was 15 - it could've been a compulsive way to deal with her subconscious feelings of shame and filthiness. I don't know if this answers your question.
I bathe once a week...and no, I don't reek. I think mainly because I'm really skinny and I eat lots of grains, fruits, and vegetables.

I wish I could have 3 showers today, but unfortunately we have water restrictions where I live, so I'm only allowed one : (
Are you one of those clean freaks? because it seems likes that. And I think it is ok to do, and I would probably do that too if I didnt have to go to school and work and everything.
hair is already dead anyway. i'm not overly concerned with that type of thing. the important things are cleanliness, simplicity and health. im glad you asked about having energy. i'm a vegetarian and 70%% raw foodist. it has taken me years to perfect my diet and i must say it has been worth the effort. along with daily yoga practice the results have really paid off. my diet is continually being modified to maintain optimal well being during different stages in my life. i'm a research student working on my dissertation so i need all the energy i can get. and yes time and energy can be had by all. it definitely requires modification. everyone is different and has to find their own stride. aside from nutrition, exercise, and cleanliness, living simply is one of the most energy enhancing aspects of my life. the aesthetic of material minimalism is quite stunning not to mention liberating.
It´s good you want and need to be clean but not extremely you have to clean with moderattion lol.
ok so here's the deal when i shower its always very quick. i soak down turn the water off. lather up, scub down with a brush then rinse off. i probably use less water than a person who takes a 15 min shower. and i always use body lotion after to make sure my skin doesn't dry out. i don't think its OCD. it just feels good to be clean. i do a lot of physical activity anyway. i vacuum and sweep twice a day though. i have hardwood floors and it bothers me if its not spotless. thats not ocd. ocd is much more severe than that.
