I see many people as hypocrites

I find hypocrisy in many situations. I can't stop observing it. It drives me up a wall. Much of humanity does anyway, so no surprise. But my mind is quite unlike many, so I see things not a great majority see.

I'm glad you recognize hypocrisy, but don't let it consume you. Don't be so surprised to find that life is full of stupidity since the majority of humans are, in as simple of a way to put it, stupid.

Normal, but not healthy. Everyone's a hypocrite sometimes. Accept it and move on. Don't let it get to you because that's just a waste of energy.

Still, learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others, but that's no reason to be "driven up the wall" about it.

    • Why should I? I'm truly not a hypocrite. I mean what I say and do what I say I'll do 99.9%% of the time. The only exceptions are circumstances beyond my control and/or unconscious acts of hypocrisy. End of story.

I agree with the poster. I don't think it's abnormal whatsoever. There is so much hypocrisy in life and most people are hypocrites in one way or another.

I can understand your mind over-analyzing hypocrisy. I have the same problem, albeit I read into people too much. So honestly, I can't tell you what to do. If you figure out something that helps, let me know.

    • Simply keep your standards raised very high on who you befriend. And if you're not satisfied with someone, toss that person out of your life.

I'm with sheeps, good on you. It shows you have morale strength. Most people just don't have as much insight as you. I'm sure those who are more insightful than you think little of your minds work, too.

People are animals, don't forget. The other apes are intelligent enough to talk - they just don't have the vocal chords. We're on average little better than them.

It's true. So many people go on as if they are not as bad as others when they have no right to be judging because they do not know the whole story.

    Ughhh I can't stand hypocrites

good for you mate, lots of people go through life without pausing to think about why it is that many of us do the things that we do. And of the few that do think of this matter, even fewer truly realize the hypocrisy behind human behavior and effort. For example, the supposed relationship that we've come to associate with money and success in life.
Anyhow I did not come here to profess my wisdom (see what I did there?) nor did I come here to agree with you that life is full of hypocrisy. Rather I'd like to ask, is it worthwhile knowing that such hypocrisy exists when not even one of us will do anything about it?

We find it hardest to tolerate in other people the things we hate about ourselves.
Check it out. There are three fingers pointing back at you.

i agree with classicalman. you're simply ignoring his point at hand and forming an argument that contrasts with the primary argument he's making.

No. It's not normal and the only one your hurting is yourself. It seems to me that you are obsessed with other peoples imperfections.
Pay more attention to your own imperfctions, such as the one where you consistantly find the faults of others.
