I don't see a reason to stop saying it just because I'm not in school anymore. It helps me reflect on all of the people who have died for our freedom in the past. (Politics aside).. am I the only one that willingly does this?
I never said the pledge even in school,
but thats because im native american..
Its good to be patriotic! Not that I would force it on people though. That is something I dont like.
One thing I have to say: Even if you dont really like america (if you live here), at least thank the veterans for fighting for our rights. (salutes) They fought for the right to say what you want about the country, so please show your thanks.
At HOME? Sound like annoy religious institution to me, I don't even have to do that outside during any special event. I have right to not do it anyway.
Before you say anything about me, I'm not a liberal nor anti-American. I just don't care about how proud we are in a country we don't choose to born in. I'd rather be a rebel than being one of sheep.
I think that's great! Too many people take this country for granted. The young American citizens don't know about sacrafice. They only know about handouts. I am very proud to be an American. The politicians suck and are out of touch and screwing up this country. So enjoy your freedom now before they sell us to another country to pay debts. I am very proud of our servicemen. Only thing is their hands are tied by political correctness and can't do their job. So please do sing, and sing loud. Be proud!!
I don't think it's normal to do it everyday at home, but I do respect your patriotism. Just honor our vets, take your hat off when you're near a flag, etcc
dont listen to these douche ultra libs^. They're just calling you a dork or whatever cause being anti American is cool right now. the young generations have no basis of comparison. They don't know how good we have it in America. yes it's obvious that our foreign policy has become a bit shady lately but that doesn't change the fact that we live in the land of the free, for now. I used to be this ultra douche liberal punk rocker. All anarchist and what not. One day I had an experience that really showed me not so much how good we have it here, but how crappy things are in much of even the free world. It clicked then, and I grew up.
I'm in the Army and absolutely proud to serve my country. I don't particularly do my job for the people in America but rather the honor I feel in doing something that has some history and sacrifice attached to it, all for a great cause. America was founded on some really noble ideas, of course there's some blood on our hands just like every other country, but hey, we're pretty cool too. Our politicians just suck. I respect you and hope that people dont persuade you to feel any different.

I don't do it at home, but in school, I'd proudly stand before the flag, half my ass hanging out, and emit the pledge as if i were a proud black mother finding out my daughter just shot her own father.
