Supermarkets pay insurance. Insurance goes up if they have to claim off it. If their operating costs rise, they pass that cost onto us, the consumer. That person didn't steal cheese from a supermarket. She stole it from you. And me. And everyone else. If you want her to have free cheese then you buy it with your own money and give it to her. You shouldn't co-opt me into this little arrangement without my say-so. I absolutely love cheese and would love the chance to have some for free. What I wouldn't love is other people having free cheese, and me paying for it. Which is kind of what has happened.

She might get a thrill from shop lifting. Good thing it's just cheese. But maybe she's not well off and can't exactly afford the basics easily. Oh well, either way, it's just cheese.

I think I would have to say something. If there was no security guard I'd probably stare at her or remind her at the checkout that she's forgotten about the cheese on the pram - with a smile :o)

Shoplifting is a major crime and it's not just the poor who do it. Apparently statistics show that the well-off are now shoplifting as they refuse to live without their luxuries just because of the recession. I think it would be so funny to see some snooty bitch getting caught.

I'd slip a shot of them with my camera phone. It can either be blackmail, or eye witness proof.

1. its none of my business
2. im not gonna be the one losing money

there was a time in my high school were these two kids cut in front of my friend and me tho i was upset i didnt say any thing then when the security guard was passing by my friend slyly whispered to the guard that the two in front of us were cuting and as if nothing happened went back talking to me that was amazing after that i never saw saying the right thing as snitchin or anything i think that the lady in front of you deserves to be punished you should have the confidence to tell too
