Whenever I hear a noise that sounds strange or awkward to me, or when someone makes a weird sound or speaks in an awkward voice, it automatically replays in my head around 5+ times. This also happens when I catch myself making a strange sound. The sound has to be short - I replay words, not sentences.
Is this normal?
i do this all the time. I'm not sure if it is considered normal, but i know a lot of people who do this.
Is it normal to you? It's not my normal but it doesn't sound terribly abnormal. When my world around me disappears and I let my self think deep enough about this cause I want to help you and understand. A part of me oddly feels like I can relate, a part of me knows what your talking about, since I've never paid much attention to it when it was happening(at least for a long while)I have to really dig around for it, maybe cause it didn't bother me cause I just assumed it was normal for me, I have to really search inside to understand. Though I can't pinpoint any times, I still feel like I have been like that at one point and I recall certain feelings that I may have got that I associated with these replaying thoughts. It feels like when I was in one of these moments of replaying these words I was slightly more focused on the thought being replayed than the feeling I got from it, but only slightly. The feelings I would of got would be frustrated, subtle anger or dislike, like what was said sounds stupid and it was faked or forced by whom ever to sound that way and its annoying. I think maybe your just more the creative artistic type and you have nothing to really worry about. Just accept it and be ok with it, it may pass it may not and it won't control or play that much of a role in your life.
