I repeat my actions all the time

ok so I dont know if there is something wrong with me or what. But anyways...
Everything that I do I repeat.
Like for example locking the door.
If I lock it I go back and see if its really locked.Even if I don't want to check it again its like I just have to.
Or turning off a light. Now I think this is just stupid. If I turn off a light I have to make sure that the switch is down.
Is there a name for this??
I really wanna know

OCD - obsessive compulsive disorder, other obsessions are washing hands until they crack and bleed keeping personal belonging stored in a certain order like colour etc...you should read about it online :) its perfectly normal i have it myself dont let it get to you to much try replace each thing you do with somthing else i lock all the windows in my house before i go to sleep and i get up at least 4 times during the night to make sure there shut, its really fustrating and if my mom cleans the house i do it after her if i feel there is somthing around me wrong and out of place like bread crumbs on the counter i can end up really up set and crying i no how it feels i started to read a page of a book every time i felt like i needed to measure the width of the chair legs from the table or rearange the fridge and im it helps me calm down and forget about it for a while x

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. If it only extends to light switches and door locks, then it's not a big deal - that sort of thing is surprisingly common. It just means that you have OCDish tendencies.

It's a classic example of OCD. A LOT of people do the same things. Almost everyone has little habits just like that, and it's no problem as long as it doesn't keep you from being able to perform daily tasks.
