I would rather have a couple pair of nice headphones than big stereo speakers. It makes me feel secure. I don't think that is normal? Also I don't like when other people play their music loud. It Irritates me. I am 21.
i prefer headphones bc i can be sure that no one else is listening since i know nobody at my house likes my music... im hispanic so my mom and sister listen to spanish music, and my younger siblings don't even have a definite style yet, so im basically the only one who listens to rock :D
It seems to sound better.. but i hate the feel of earphones in my ears so that is the only downside to it.
ya im the same way idk why i just like it in my ears....but if im at home alone and i wanna dance ill listen to it outloud
@Budthewise treat yourself to some cheap ass speakers and an amp then blast the most obnoxious metal you can find, imo black metal, against the wall when they sleep. I hate assholes that wake people up at 3 because they dont want to sleep, but the rest of us have to go to fucking work in the morning.
Headphones are better if you dont want to spend rediculous amounts of money to get the same quality. I love my senheiser 555's got em for 100$ would like 650's, but 300+ isn't in my price range atm. but on occasion I enjoy the thud of a sub, that is, when no one is around.
It is perfectly normal and I wish people would do this more often. I like more harder music (Not Speed Metal, I'm not retarded) as well as instrumentals and although I like it, others may not. I enjoy what I listen to more alone and without ridicule and there is nothing wrong with it.
However on the other foot, those danm mexicans in my apartment complex really could learn from this. Although it is my opinion that their music is awful, even those who enjoy it complain when it wakes them up at 3am from outside due to some asshole listenign to it in a car.

To the poster: ear-phones make music sound fuller and richer and can be so at very low volumes so your preference is understandable.

How the hell is that racist? The loud people in my complex are the mexican people and not the white or the one black person. They are loud, they are mexican, and it is annoying. I would be equally annoyed if they were white.
So, once again, how the hell is that comment racist? Stop trying to nitpick with me and fix your own danm life first.
