So my boyfriend and I have been trying out anal and it was going sort of okay at first. However, after finishing our second attempt I just couldn't control anything and I pooped all over his bed(embarrassment). To make it even worse, some more sneaked out after I pulled up my underwear. Which then proceeded to stick to my butt because of how tight the underwear that I chose to wear for the occasion was. That was just too much for me and I started crying while laying in fetal position on his bed. Now I feel like I can't look my boyfriend in the eye the same way. Even though he cleaned me up and hugged me. Was this my fault? Or do accidents after anal sex happen often?

    That is of course incredibly embarrassing. But it's always a risk associated with anal play, which is why some people recommend using enemas or something similar to completely clean out the colon before engaging in anal activity. It reduces the chance of such an accident happening but it can't totally prevent it. Some of it is probably dependent on experience. But apart from that, compare your reaction to his. Your boyfriend obviously deeply loves, respects, and cares about you. You owe it to him to be honest with your feelings. Clearly it wasn't a desirable outcome but you didn't realistically have control over your bodily functions in this situation. I'm sure he will understand. It will be awkward to approach the subject or feel how you did around him before this incident, but you both have to be honest with each other and with yourselves.

    There is no reason to feel embarrassed about it. Honestly, not the slightest. Bodily functions happen.

    I'd try - if you think you can do it - to take it with a bit of humor. After all, nothing really, objectively bad happened.

    First and foremost this entire scenario should and could of been avoided. Anal play can be lots of fun for both partners when done right. When done wrong it can be painful, unpleasent and down right dirty (in your unfortunate case). First of all if you feel like you might be in the mood for some back door play make sure that you have evacuated yourself or at least tried to an hour before the deed. If your really worried about running into this problem again you could always use an ennema or even eat a special diet to help clean things up a bit back there. (Honestly, if you ate Taco Bell for lunch, might be a good idea to skip the anal play in the evening). Also you could always try a toy before hand, if things are looking a little dirty or your starting to feel like you might have to go then you might want to avoid the back door. Like I said this situation could of been entirely avoidable. Just takes a little prep. Without it you could be in for a shit show. (Pun totally intended).
