I only really listen to one band?

YES!! Rage Against the Machine are my favourite band. Metallica and Megadeth are cool too. But it's probably better for you widen your taste in music so that you get a better and more diverse taste for music in general. Like, you might discover you like funk or jazz, or........... One Direction.

Well I only listened to Michael Jackson when I was a child. When I hit my teens I only listened to the Smashing Pumpkins. I did broaden my music taste in my early 20's I literally like EVERYTHING. But now I've hit my late 20's I only listen to Korn. I've only listened to Korn for about 3 years now. I can't listen to anything else. Nothing is as good. Every song is perfect and amazing. My boyfriend thinks I must be mental. But after reading that all you guys do the same I feel less so :)

try some of their influences when you are ready like Thin Lizzy, Misfits, Diamond Head, Motorhead, or the ones that started it all.............Black Sabbath. Or their contemporaries, like Anthrax which are a bit underrated IMHO. Persistence of Time is a killer record.

Sometimes I go weeks listening to one band.. Especially Chevelle - they're AMAZING

I had the same problem with Amanda Palmer / The Dresden Dolls. They were all I listened to for a year and then I just stopped and my obsession jumped to Lady Gaga which is where I am now.
Totally normal.

Perhaps you feel their music so perfectly suits your taste that no other band could do the same. You dont need a broad range of favourite bands... so long as you enjoy your music.
