I only read digital time?

I'm not an idiot. I literally have never known how to tell analogue time my whole 18 years of life until now. I just spent 20 minutes, probably less, teaching it to myself and now I know it. Is it normal for young people these days to only know how to tell digital time? How many of you don't know analogue? I have met one other person my age who could only read digital, so I'm not alone (or wasn't, since now I can).

Back in my day, we used to tell the time by the length of shadows and the position of the sun in the sky. Pfft kids today with their digital clocks.

Back in my day there was only day and night! You get up when it's bright, throw rocks and sticks at mammoths and go to bed when it's dark.

Kids these days with their shadows and digital nonsense!

Can't go back more now can 'ya? XD

I thinks its the school systems fault. I learned in preschool (im 24) and I learned cursive in 4th grade I believe. But my sisters (15 and 16) dont really know how to write cursive..

I grew up in the era when there were no digital time pieces. But I would not doubt for a second that many people today cannot tell time with an analog clock face.

They are doing away with cursive writing because it is believed that people will never need to write as most people use keyboards now.

Caligraphy will become a lost art. There is nothing so nice as a good well written letter rather than a cold email.

It's indicative of our technological advances
Some things become obsolete, analog clocks, cursive writing and the like.
The truth of the matter is that there's no reason for anyone to learn these things anymore.

    Except for nostalgia.

Well you can always revert to "The big hand is on the 3 and the small hand is on the 10" Just like every other 3 year old. Do you know how to tie your shoes yet?

The only digital clocks are on my cell phone and my alarm clock. All other clocks in the house are analog.
