I only questioned my sexuality for a week then figured out i am lesbian

So I was questioning my sexuality for about a week or so then I actually figured out I was a lesbian, I want to know if it is normal to figure out who you are in such a short amount of time! I just want people who have questioned their sexuality to vote because they have been through it also and knows how it feels. Oh and also no hate comments please I dont want there to be any fights. Thanks!

I truly think you should forget labels. If you like someone of any gender at the time, then do what feels right. There's such a taboo with sexuality. If you want to lick pussy, then do. If you want dick, then WANT THAT DICK!

I have always been given labels through my life so im used to it and doesn't really bother me. Also the last to sentences have me laughing so much! Thank you.

I'm laughing too! I thought humor might help:) But it's true! You can take as little time as needed. Do what feels right to YOU and fits YOUR needs. I made out with my best friend and thought I was lesbian or bi for weeks and was attracted to her. Found out I'm not all the time, just sometimes? Ive had a serious bf of 5 years now, it just really depends on the individual and labels are silly at this point. People are constantly changing and growing. Sexuality is very mysterious!

Right on. Well, I'm glad you didn't have much of a struggle trying to figure out your sexuality. There are some people who know they're gay from the time they're little kids, and they never question it. It's different for everyone... finding one's sexuality is different for everyone of us.

I don't think a week is actually that short. We all have different minds and life experiences, which results in very different thought processes when it comes to self discovery. A lot of people take months or years to figure out there sexuality, but there are also a lot of people who don't need to give it any consideration at all. And sometimes you can't really define your experiences in terms of time. I was pretty sure that I was asexual almost as soon as I learned the label, but I'm still questioning my orientation now. And sometimes "pretty sure" is as much confidence as you need to guide your life choices.
