I only draw lines....

When I draw, I just draw lots of connecting lines on a piece of paper. Curved lines, straight lines, squiggly lines, and they all connect but don't overlap.

Also, if for example I start drawing a straight line, I'll turn it into a squiggly line suddenly without really thinking about it. I think the pictures look good once I'm finished too, not just a bunch of scribbles.

I don't try to draw specific things because I'm not a good artist, just a bunch of connected lines that don't overlap.

I was wondering if anybody else does this and is there maybe a name for the type of art I draw? I don't mean just abstract art or anything, maybe something more specific? Is it normal?

    I started with doing stuff like that and got a little more complex with it. I never even thought of getting a devian art account... I'm gonna do that today

    I checked out your deviantART submission.

    It is abstract, monochromatic line art. You should try coloring it in with lines that do not overlap.

    Dude, I draw random shit, that comes from other random shit. It's like a web of random shits <-- I believe that should be plural. But yeah, I concentrate better that way. The funny thing is when I really concentrate on that shit, and someone asks me what i'm drawing, thinking it's probably some neat ass shit, and see its a smiley face drawn over several times. Hahaha, the reactions, priceless.

    Haha I do the same thing! I can't draw very well so when I get bored in class I just draw lines. Usually start by tracing the red lines on the outside of the page. Only difference is I cross lines. I think you're normal.

    whatever floats yer boat. i do stuff similar to that when im board in class, just draw lines and shapes and stuff randomly. if you think it looks good, go ahead, why not?
