I never sleep

I avoid sleep, even when I'm tired i fight it..sometimes i stay up till like 4am even if i have to wake up early, this has been going on for years. IIN

    Unfortunately, I do the same thing, and have done for many years now. I'm still unsure why, and I'm considering seeing the doctor or perhaps a psychologist. It's not healthy, please get some help, as will I. Good luck!

    That is not healthy, I would get that checked out. Sleep is good for the body, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.

    I do the same thing. I don't have insomnia but I typically force myself awake on purpose as long as I can bear it; usually far past the point of feeling tired. Even if I don't have any reason to be up, I find something. I disregard whether I will feel bad trying to do something the next day. My sleep pattern is highly irregular due to this and I know it's probably not good for my health, but tbh I don't really care.

    My reasoning is this: sleep seems like a HUGE waste of time. I also dislike (not necessarily afraid) of the concept of dreaming (don't really have a problem with nightmares or anything, it's just a personal preference thing I guess?).

    I do this too. In fact, teenagers have this hormone that makes them want to sleep later and get up earlier. That's why so many teens stay up late ad they, y'know sleep in. T.T It's perfectly normal.

    If you can not help but not sleep...as in are physically unable to fall asleep even when you are tired...thats called Insomnia. Its awful.

    If you dont ever sleep, simply because you are actually avoiding it intentionally, and dont have any reason as to why you avoid it, youre stupid.

    Insomnia? or it could even be a mood disorder. I used to be afraid that if I'd slept that I would die.... Now I love sleeping. I'm not a morning person at all, so perhaps that is what you have?

    Your body's telling you to rest if you're tired. I only sleep every other night and it's great for getting loads of work done - but I think it's stress related.

    I had nightmares as a child and only like to go to sleep when it's daylight outside.
