I never really go out..

I never really go out with people.. on saturdaynights like these.. (I feel like it's also the reason why I don't have (and never had) a girlfriend).

is it normal that I don't find it appealing to go out or...? Cus I am feeling that I'm missing a lot.. It makes me sad. I am 17 y/o by the way (just).

Being old enough to buy drinks and be allowed into clubs is very helpful. There's not much else you can do on a night out, really. I never had a night out before I was 18, and I've honestly got no idea what kids do on their nights out before they're old enough to drink or go into clubs. Do they get drunk off mum and dad's wine then roam the streets aimlessly? Do they get their cool older friends to buy vodka for them and go a friend's house who's parents are away for the weekend? Do they go to the pub and drink coke? I honestly don't know.

If you're 17, it's almost impossible for you to be missing out on anything that's interesting compared to what will happen when you're older. Btw - it's perfectly possible to have a girlfriend without being a going out sort of person. I did, anyway.

I don't usually go out UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. For instance, going to groceries, the bookstore or seeing a doctor. I used to go out and do yard work, but it is too frigid outside to be working with minimal protection.

If this bothers you, do something about it. Go out more. It doesn't have to be with your friends. It can be on your own, which builds up go independence among other skills. You could go meet some new people.

  • If you're feeling like your sad and missing out then just go out. You don't need anyone to go with. Most the time I leave the house I go do something by myself and I have just as much fun by myself going places.
