I made out with a close friend,i'm leaving for 3 months, what do i do?

so my he's been my friend for over a 2 years now, and well i've liked him for probably a year and a half. sometimes i thought he might feel the same way, but then other time i knew he just didn't. i'm not a very optimistic person, espscially when it comes to my romantic life, so if there is a choise i always go for the negative (he will never look at a girl like me, type)
well, we made out at a going away party (for me) he just kissed me. but then we both remembered that i leave in a week and he said that i could do whatever i wanted on my trip (basiclly make out or more, with other people) and he wouldn't juge me. and when i come home, if i want to, we could see where this goes. but he also said that he always wanted this. keep in mind, we weren't at our best (we had a few drinks).
i just feel like it was too forward, and made me dout what this real meant.
